The Indian Banks will remain closed for ten days in February 2023 including second and fourth Saturdays, and Sundays. The central bank i.e. RBI has placed the holidays under three brackets- Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act; Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
The banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. In January Bank was closed for 14 days, including Saturdays and Sundays. But, some of these bank holidays are specific to the state.
In 2015, The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) declared that the private and PSU banks in India will remain closed on the second, and fourth Saturdays and Sundays of the month. While on other Saturdays banks will stay operational full-day.

If a customer wants to check his/ her recent transactions on a bank holiday, the same can be done by checking the Canara Bank mini statement for the same. And, to get a mini statement, call on Canara Bank Mini Statement Number i.e. 09015734734, and then an SMS would be received containing the last 5 transactions.
If a customer wants to know his/her account balance on a bank holiday, the same can be done by calling on Canara Bank Balance Enquiry Number i.e. 1800 425 0018, 1800 3011 3333 and then an SMS would be received containing the account balance.
Nowadays, an account holder is not required to visit a bank branch to carry out any banking transactions, as he/ she can easily avail of all the Canara Bank services conveniently sitting at home with the help of the internet without even wondering about the Canara Bank Timings as these services are available 24*7 to the customers.
