All Android Beta Users Of Whatsapp Now Have Access To The “Companion Mode”

WhatsApp’s multi-device capability has been around for several years, but it only allows you to link your account to laptops, desktop computers, and tablets. This is about to change, as the long-awaited Companion Mode is now available to all WhatsApp beta users. In its most recent version for Android, Meta-owned WhatsApp has made the “companion mode” functionality available to all beta testers.

According to WABetaInfo, the companion mode was previously only accessible to a small number of beta testers.

The purpose of this feature, which is an expansion of multi-device functionality, is to enable users to link their current WhatsApp account to another mobile device.

According to the article, users who link their current WhatsApp account to a second smartphone can now view their chats on the second device without requiring an active internet connection on their primary phone.

When users attach their WhatsApp accounts to a new phone, their chat history is synchronized across all devices.

Furthermore, while the companion mode has been made accessible to all beta testers, multiple functions, such as the ability to control broadcast lists and submit a status update from the associated device, may still be unavailable, according to the source.

Meanwhile, Whatsapp has included a new function called “manage contacts within the app,” which allows Android to edit, delete or modify the contacts information within the application.

The ability to add and edit contacts within WhatsApp for Android is currently accessible to some beta testers using the most recent beta version. In the upcoming days, this feature would be made available to all the users of the Whatsapp application.

This feature is a few steps closer to being included in the app’s stable version. As usual, WABetaInfo was the first to report the news.

Companion Mode, which allows you to use the same account on four separate cellphones, will be a huge advance for WhatsApp. This should be quite convenient for people who have many phones and wish to utilize the same account on all of them.

If you wish to utilize the same WhatsApp account on two phones, make sure they are both running the same version of the program.

Companion Mode, as shown in the screenshot, will function similarly to paired devices. When you open the linked device’s area, you’ll see a QR code that you can scan on the other phone to utilize the same WhatsApp account. It will enable you to synchronize the media as well as chats on the mobile phone. To continue using WhatsApp on the secondary phone, you will not require an active internet connection on the first phone.

There is no information on when the functionality will be released for iOS devices, therefore it is only currently accessible on WhatsApp beta for Android. In any event, as soon as Companion Mode is publicly accessible, we’ll update this space.

When there is more information available about this revolutionary change in the WhatsApp application, we will keep you updated here.
